Good morning to you……….
What a week we had. We were faced with 11 cancellations. We had a major National disaster. One of the 6 local trains wrecked within a half mile of our Church location. This interrupted local travel. There were 51 killed and over 700 injured to date. Several more are not expected to live out of the 700 injured. Three readers were sick from some bug that is going around. And, there were two National Holidays thrown in for good measure. The accident was early enough that none of our readers were aboard. One usually comes that early because of the long distance she travels but was not scheduled on that day. Praise God for that.
So far we don’t know if any of the local congregation members or members of their families were affected. Let’s hope and pray that none were injured.
We have had one of our readers attend service for the first time with us last Sunday. Two more are expressing interest in coming this Sunday. We are praying they will feel like ‘family’ when they come so they will want to come back. We are trying to express the family atmosphere of the local congregation to our readers so they will want to come and fellowship. Many are missing out on the fellowship of worship at other locations.
We are doing well, safe, comfortable and fitting in with the local Church members. They are trying hard to make us feel loved and needed and appreciated. We feel all those things.
Thank you for your support behind the scenes. We are comforted knowing if we have needs that must come from the USA that you are all there for our support.
Hang in there, keep the faith and keep us in your prayers.
With love in “HIM” Rich
