Cordova Christian Camp Staff/Volunteer Meeting

The #1 reason Cordova Christian Camp is so successful is because of our volunteer staff! And this year will be no different. It takes at least 200 volunteers for camp to happen, from our awesome kitchen staff to the wonderful registration team, and of course, our amazing teen staff that makes each camper feel so special. Sign up now.

There will be a meeting on May 20 at 5pm in the Lighthouse for all Cordova Christian Camp volunteers. Camp staff age requirements are: completed 7th grade or older. The cost for volunteer staff is $10 to pay for your camp t-shirt.

Upcoming Bridal Shower

Stacie Fuston and Richard Ballesteros will be married this August. You are invited to a bridal shower luncheon in honor of the bride, Stacie Fuston on Sunday, May 20, immediately following second service. The couple is registered at JCPenny’s and Target. Sunday Morning

We will have a combined Adult and Teen Bible class in the Family Life Center, honoring the High School graduates. We would like each graduate’s parent to say a little something about their child, about 2 minutes long. Aaron will also have a couple comments to the graduates about this special time as they are moving toward adulthood.

Sunday Evening @ 6 p.m.

We will have our annual Graduation Reception, from 6-7 p.m. in the Family Center. Each graduate will have a table dedicated to them. Their parents can set this up with pictures of them growing up, certificates of achievements, awards received, and other things to display their graduate.

The 2012 High School Graduates are:
Staci Ballard, Channing Corbin, Emily King, Kami Krueger, Kelsey Lightfoot, Jolin Nguyen and Julie Screeton.

1. Much of our discussions of what it means to be a Christian involve thinking of the Christian life in terms of what we do for the Lord. What are some examples of some of those things we think we should do for God?

2. In reality, the Christian life is more about what God has done for us. As you reflect on the teachings in Ephesians chapters 1-3, what are some of the things that God has done for us?
