Every other Tueday – Rm. 104 – 9:30-11:00am
Acts is a fascinating and crucial book that links the life and ministry of Christ with the spread of the church and Paul’s subsequent letters. Let’s look at those who were closest to Christ, who had learned at His knee, and see how we got from Jerusalem to Rome and Corinth. Let’s visit key cities sprinkled around the Mediterranean, meet the leaders of a new movement, and get a glimpse of the problems that Paul will later address.
Jesus Himself laid out the plot in His last recorded words, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) And sure enough chapters 1-7 go on to address the growth in Jerusalem, chapters 8-12 the spread to Judea and Samaria, and the rest of the book describes the growth throughout the Roman empire.
What a great book of truth, foundational to our faith. I hope that you’ll join us every other Tuesday morning from May 29- August 23, 9:30-11 am in room 104. Child care can be provided if needed. Other than that we just need you, your Bible, and your discussion. See Sarah Lightfoot or call the church office (638-2200) for questions or further information.
