Senior Saints attendees will have an opportunity to meet and hear another new Sacramento-area minister when the group holds its January 10 meeting at the Roseville Church of Christ (website – map). The speaker will be Dale Gifford, who began work with the Roseville congregation on January 1, 2012.
Dale Gifford, who has been the minister for several California congregations during his career, was most recently the minister for the Auburn Church of Christ. The Roseville meeting begins at 11 o’clock, on Tuesday morning, January 10, and will be followed by a potluck in the church’s hospitality area. The Roseville congregation meets at 1799 Kirby Way in Roseville.
George Smith, the emcee for this senior fellowship, invites all Christians of the area–especially those 50 years old or older–to attend Gifford’s lecture, and remain for the potluck. First-time visitors are considered guests of the day, and are not expected to bring food for the potluck.
Attendance at Senior Saints meetings gives members an opportunity to get to know many other members and the ministers of the nine host congregations in the Senior Saints rotation, as well as to hear some outstanding sermons.
Other meetings are schedules at the Orangevale Church of Christ (website – map) on February 14; Parkway Church of Christ (website – map) on March 13; Cordova Church of Christ (website – map) in Rancho Cordova on April 10; and Central Church of Christ (website – map) on May 8. The group is on hiatus for the months of June, July, and August.
